Besides being friendly, most of the staff in the QT office could obtain gigs as professional comedians at venues other than the Canyon Swing. What's not to like about being strapped into a kinky harness and enjoying witty banter once out on the platform? The seemingly unrehearsed rôle playing of complete incompetence during the setup and safety checks was Oscar-worthy and brilliant. A huge thanks to the crew on the April 20th Shotover River swing at 10:20 am, especially to the 20-year-old driver/swing staff member whose disparagement of his abilities was endearingly false. This was an adrenaline-pumping day to be forever remembered.

If you’re even thinking about doing the canyon swing…DO IT. This was hands down one of the most fun, memorable experiences of our entire New Zealand trip. From the very beginning, the experience was a blast. The team picked us up from the parking lot and had us laughing instantly. They absolutely lean into the “let’s keep you a little scared” vibe (in the best way possible), with jokes and playful teasing that somehow make the whole thing even more exciting. But what really stood out was how they balanced that fun with total professionalism. You feel like you’re joking around with friends… while also knowing you are 100% safe and in expert hands. Every step of the process was clearly explained, and their confidence made it easy to trust them—even when you’re standing on the edge questioning all your life choices 😅 The swing itself? Unreal. Equal parts adrenaline, laughter, and “did that just happen?!” energy. And honestly, the buildup might be just as fun as the jump. The entire experience from pickup to drop-off was a riot. If you want something thrilling, unforgettable, and genuinely fun, this is it. We’re still talking about it. 12/10 would do it again… after a few deep breaths.

During my tour of New Zealand, we stopped for a few days in Queenstown to experience some of the most extraordinary and exhilarating attractions. By far, the Canyon Swing was the cherry on top! If you have a fear of heights, it might make it a little rough, but the view on the way down is unlike any other. Take a leap of faith; you won’t regret it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
