Yes, it’s some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. But that’s not why you’re here is it? The Fox is a zipline like no other. It’s high, it’s fun and you’ll be sure to get your ‘WOO-HA’ on.
What We Do
THE WORLD’S HIGHEST & SCARIEST CLIFF JUMPS
It all began as a hobby of jumping off cliffs over seventeen years ago. Today we still jump off cliffs, but now we share this with those who dare and those willing and eager. Our unique style of service is all down to our great team who are passionate about our customers having the best experience ever.
The Canyon Swing, our original experience which opened in 2002, is a giant rope swing that redefined ways of getting the thrill of freefall. 14 years later, it paved the way to be more daring and bolder when we built The Fox. An extreme zipline which is the only one in the world with freefall and New Zealand’s highest
Set amongst the dramatic scenery of the Shotover Canyon just 15 minutes from Queenstown, it’s not just the landscape that takes your breath away. Our unique jumpstyles can leave you saying, what, how and most likely why? Because why not, it’s fun!
Over the years we’ve dreamt up, developed, and tested heaps of epic jump styles – each one unique in fear and swagger. If those don’t tickle your adrenaline pickle, our Jumpmasters’ can provide a collective catalogue of fear-inducing, adventurous styles that are sure to cause a hindrance to your heartbeat.
Choose your undie rating to suit your level of fear 1 = very scary, 5 = very very very very very scary!
This ain’t no playground. Climb up and take in the view from the top then slide into oblivion and remember what it was like to scream like a kid.
Fancy showing off your athletic prowess? You’ve got three options: forwards, backwards or gainers. Tumble your way through freefall before swinging out down in the canyon below. Try to beat the record: 12 forwards flips by Olympian Tom Daley!
The king of all head rushes. We’ll suspend you out over the canyon, lying flat on your back facing the sky. Once released you’ll travel through the arc upside down with the canyon walls rushing past your eyes.
Can you do a chin up? This is the one for you… You’re suspended over the canyon holding on with your big muscles. We’ll pull the release trigger and it’s up to you. Can you beat our current record of 33.25 seconds? It’s one heck of a challenge.
